The Shy Pig Shiraz is ruby red colour in the glass. Fresh red berries with hints of cedar and spice. A luscious fruit driven wine, with upfront fruit sweetness. A well balanced wine with integrated soft tannins giving hints of spice.
Sourced from our Buronga Hill winery in the Sunraysia district of southern NSW. The climate is hot with high evaporation rates and generally low rainfall, making irrigation essential.
Long sunshine hours ensure fruit ripens fully and low relative humidity results in little. The fruit was machine harvested and selected from vineyards in South Eastern Australia. Conditions for vintage were ideal, yields were good and the fruit was in excellent condition.
In the winery a cheeky little pig started to make a name for himself. Random mischievous acts were being encountered. Often accomanied by a glimpse of a curly tailed behind scrambling away with the cutest of little snorts.
The winemakers could not help but love this little character; so much so they name a wine after him. Be assured, like he Shy Pig, this wine will be equally adored.
