Gone Grant 30 Year Old 1994–2025 – Whiskyland Chapter Eighteen by Decadent Drinks is a beautifully mature Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from a lost Speyside distillery, presented as part of the acclaimed Whiskyland series.

Distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2025, this 30-year-old single malt spent 26 years maturing in a refill barrel, followed by a further four years in a first-fill sherry hogshead. The extended sherry maturation adds depth and richness while allowing the underlying mature spirit to remain elegant and expressive.

The nose is wonderfully mature, showing wax, quince, stewed apple, chamomile and tarragon, alongside subtle notes of cigar box, leather, sandalwood and old oak. On the palate, a waxy texture combines with honey, fennel, dried fruit and gentle citrus, developing into brighter notes of passion fruit, lemon and pear skin.

The finish is gentle and well balanced, with lingering notes of white pepper, plum and jammy apricot, leaving an elegant combination of fruit, wax and mature oak.

Gone Grant 30 Year Old is an exceptional mature Speyside release, combining 30 years of maturation, a four-year first-fill sherry finish and the rarity of whisky from a closed distillery. A compelling addition for collectors and enthusiasts of sophisticated independent Scotch bottlings.
