Glenrothes 9 Year Old 2013–2022 – SMWS 30.122 is a distinctive Speyside single malt whisky bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS). Distilled on 3 June 2013 and bottled in 2022 after nine years of maturation, this single-cask release carries the SMWS cask number 30.122 and the evocative title “A Bootful of Brazil Nuts.”

The whisky was initially matured in an ex-Oloroso butt before receiving a four-year finish in a refill European oak puncheon with heavy toast and medium char. It was released as a single-cask, cask-strength bottling, with an outturn of just 553 bottles.

With its 2013 vintage, nine-year maturation, SMWS single-cask pedigree and limited 553-bottle release, this Glenrothes is an appealing addition for collectors of Society bottlings and independent Speyside single malts.
