Glenfarclas Family Casks 1983–2017 #38 is a rare single-cask Speyside single malt whisky from Glenfarclas’ highly regarded Family Casks series. Distilled in 1983 and bottled in 2017, this expression spent approximately 34 years maturing in a refill hogshead, allowing it to develop significant maturity while retaining the character of the original Glenfarclas spirit.

Released as part of the Winter 2017 Family Casks edition, this is cask number 38 and was bottled as a limited release of just 257 bottles. The single-cask format and very limited production make it notably different from Glenfarclas' regular age-statement expressions, with each Family Casks bottling representing an individual cask from the distillery's extensive reserves.
