Distilled at Glen Elgin in 2006 and matured for 12 years in a refill ex-Bourbon hogshead, this single-cask expression showcases the bright and characterful side of the distillery.

The nose brings vibrant perfumed fruits, lemon balm and spearmint, developing with time into coconut macarons and caramelised onion. The palate is rich and expressive, combining sweet fruit, citrus, creamy coconut and gentle savoury notes, with a lively and distinctive character.

Part of the SMWS's highly individual single-cask releases, Cask 85.50 was limited to just 281 bottles, making it an appealing choice for collectors and enthusiasts seeking an unusual Glen Elgin bottling.
