Caperdonich 22 Year Old – Batch 5 is a rare Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the now-closed Caperdonich distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company.

Released in May 2018, this 22-year-old expression was limited to just 250 bottles, making it a particularly desirable bottling from this long-closed Speyside distillery. Caperdonich ceased production in 2002, adding significant historical interest to surviving independent releases.

The nose brings apple turnovers, rose water, barrel char and ground ginger, creating an inviting combination of fruit, floral character and gentle oak influence. On the palate, thyme and mint combine with toasted oak and burnt sugar, while the finish develops notes of lemon peel, resinous oak, icing sugar and turmeric.

The distinctive Boutique-y label also pays homage to the historic pipe that once connected Caperdonich with neighbouring Glen Grant, around which the distillery developed an entertaining local legend.
