Blair Athol 23 Year Old 1993 – Diageo Special Releases 2017 is a prestigious Highland single malt Scotch whisky and one of the most notable official Blair Athol releases from Diageo.

Distilled in 1993 and matured for 23 years in Bodega European oak sherry butts, this limited-edition expression was released as part of the Diageo Special Releases 2017 collection. Only 5,514 bottles were produced worldwide.

The whisky showcases Blair Athol’s characteristic rich, nutty and spicy style, with aromas of sultanas, raisins, candied orange peel, brown sugar and chocolate. The palate is rich and rounded, bringing together toffee, caramel, baked apple, fruit cake and warming spice, with darker notes of herbs, earth and oak adding depth.

The finish is long, warming and spicy, with lingering notes of treacle toffee, mint, lemon oil and gentle oak.
