Benriach 42 Year Old Director’s Special is an exceptionally mature Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by Elixir Distillers as part of the prestigious Director’s Special series from The Single Malts of Scotland.

This 42-year-old single-cask Benriach was bottled in 2018 to celebrate The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show: Old & Rare 2018. Only 147 bottles were produced, making this a highly limited release.

The nose is packed with passion fruit, mango and grapefruit, accompanied by hints of fresh mint and sweet spice. On the palate, guava, mango and tropical citrus combine with cardamom, vanilla cream, milk chocolate and spiced chai, creating a beautifully rich and complex profile. The finish is long, fruity and gently spicy, with mature oak adding depth.

A remarkable 42-year-old Benriach, the Director’s Special represents a rare opportunity to experience highly mature Speyside single malt from the distillery’s historic era.
