Benriach 24 Year Old 1991–2016 Cask #6896 is an elegant Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Benriach’s limited Batch 13 Single Cask collection.

Distilled on 19 August 1991 and bottled in June 2016, this 24-year-old single-cask expression was finished in a Burgundy wine barrel. Cask #6896 produced just 265 bottles, making this a particularly limited Benriach release.

The nose brings together dark Mediterranean fruits, black pepper, delicate floral oak and a hint of clove oil. On the palate, rich orange bitters and fresh cranberry are complemented by crisp rose water and steeped barley, creating an elegant balance between vibrant fruit, spice and mature oak. The finish is lingering and refreshing.

A superb example of Benriach’s experimental cask programme, Cask #6896 showcases the distinctive influence of Burgundy wine finishing on mature Speyside single malt.
