The Balvenie 12 Year Old The Sweet Toast of American Oak is a beautifully crafted Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from The Balvenie Stories collection.

Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky is finished in specially selected virgin American oak barrels sourced from Kentucky and deeply toasted at The Balvenie Cooperage. This distinctive cask treatment brings an extra layer of sweetness, fruit and oak character to the whisky.

The nose is rich and malty, with sweet fudge, citrus, vanilla and warming ginger and cinnamon. On the palate, expect candied orange and lemon peel, vanilla toffee, butterscotch, blossom honey and brown sugar, followed by gentle oak spice. The finish is rich, malty and lingering, with vanilla oak and subtle spice.

A refined and approachable Balvenie expression that showcases the influence of deeply toasted American oak while retaining the distillery’s signature honeyed and fruity character.
