Tomatin Cu Bocan 1988 700ml

Tomatin Cù Bòcan 1988 Vintage is a highly distinctive Highland single malt whisky from Tomatin’s limited-edition Cù Bòcan series. Distilled on 2 December 1988 and bottled in 2016, this vintage release was matured in a combination of refill hogsheads and refill sherry butts, producing a beautifully developed balance of sweetness, oak and gentle smoke.

The nose opens with delicate campfire smoke, sweet ash, stewed pear and toasted coconut, alongside fresh-cut grass, heather and cereal notes. On the palate, candied tropical fruits combine with an earthy peat character, followed by dried fruit, blood orange and subtle nutty notes.

The finish is earthy and smoky, with lingering oak spice and a creamy texture. With only 2,200 bottles produced, this is a memorable vintage Cù Bòcan and an appealing addition for collectors and enthusiasts of historic Tomatin releases.
