Lochside 1981-2010 (TWE Exclusive) 700ml

Lochside 29 Year Old 1981–2010 – TWE Exclusive is a remarkable Highland single malt whisky from the now-closed Lochside Distillery, bottled exclusively by The Whisky Exchange in 2010. Distilled in 1981 and matured in a single Oloroso sherry cask, it was bottled just short of its 30th birthday.

This old-school Lochside showcases a beautifully developed combination of rich fruit, sherry, wax and mature oak. The nose brings redcurrant, tangerine, grapefruit, passion fruit, raisins, oak polish and subtle wax, with delicate floral and mint notes. On the palate, sweet grapefruit, honeyed Oloroso, ginger, pepper and citrus zest create a complex and evolving character.

The finish is long and warming, with lingering lemon zest, spice and distinctive mature woodiness. A superb example of vintage Lochside whisky, offering collectors and enthusiasts a chance to experience the character of a long-closed Highland distillery.
