Glendullan 12 Year Old 2009–2022 – Gordon & MacPhail is a distinctive Speyside single malt whisky from Glendullan Distillery, independently bottled as part of Gordon & MacPhail’s Connoisseurs Choice Wood Finished range. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in February 2022, this expression was matured for 12 years and showcases a carefully selected wine-cask finish.

The whisky was initially matured in refill bourbon barrels for nine years, before spending a further three years in Côte-Rôtie wine casks from France’s Rhône Valley. This secondary maturation gives the release a distinctive identity and demonstrates Gordon & MacPhail’s approach to combining Speyside spirit with carefully selected wine casks. The bottling was limited to 3,245 bottles.

Note: Although some retailers list this bottling as “Hermitage Finish,” the Gordon & MacPhail specification and multiple specialist whisky sources identify the finish as Côte-Rôtie casks.

With its 12-year maturation, 2009 vintage, three-year Côte-Rôtie cask finish and limited 3,245-bottle release, this Glendullan is an interesting addition to a collection of independent Speyside single malts.
