Benriach 21 Year Old 1997–2019 Cask #4438 is a distinctive Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Benriach’s highly regarded Batch 16 Single Cask collection.

Distilled on 25 November 1997 and bottled in 2019, this 21-year-old single-cask expression was matured in a Marsala hogshead. Cask #4438 was one of the Batch 16 releases allocated to New Zealand and other Asia-Pacific markets, with just 404 bottles produced.

The nose offers an enticing combination of clementine, grape, vanilla ice cream, fruit syrup and milk chocolate hazelnut. On the palate, nectarine, pear, pineapple and grape create a rich, fruity character, with red cherry carrying through to a fresh, lingering finish.

A superb example of Benriach’s experimental cask programme, Cask #4438 showcases how Marsala maturation can complement mature Benriach spirit with layers of vibrant fruit, sweetness and dessert-like richness.
