Ardbeg 17 Year Old is a highly sought-after Islay single malt Scotch whisky and one of the most iconic expressions from Ardbeg's earlier modern era.

First released in 1997, shortly after the reopening of Ardbeg under The Glenmorangie Company, the 17 Year Old became one of the distillery's defining early releases. It was discontinued in 2004, making original bottlings increasingly difficult to find.

The whisky presents a remarkably elegant side of Ardbeg, with aromas of pine resin, aniseed, sea spray, lavender and subtle floral notes. The palate is creamy and beautifully balanced, combining aniseed toffee, café latte, fennel and gentle peat smoke.

The finish is long and lingering, bringing together chewy oak, cocoa powder, tar and restrained smoky notes.
