The Shy Pig Merlot 13% 750ml - South Australia

The Shy Pig Merlot is cherry red colour in the glass. Ripe Raspberries with hints of spice and chocolate. A luscious fruit driven wine, with upfront fruit sweetness. A well balanced wine with integrated soft tannins giving hints of spice.

Sourced from vineyards in the Murray Darling & Riverland regions, the parcels of fruit were in excellent condition following great vintage conditions. The fruit was crushed and de-stemmed to varying red fermenters where the fruit was fermented on oak at cooler temperatures, before being blended and stabilised to produce the best possible product.

In the winery a cheeky little pig started to make a name for himseld. Random mischevious acts were being encountered, often acompanied by a glimpse of a curly tailed behind scrambling away with the cutest of little snorts. The winemakers could not help but love this little character; so much so that they named a wine after him.
