Nose: After briefly hand-warming in the tumbler and after the alcohol has evaporated: cherries, raisins, older sherry, heavier, old school. Center balanced for a PXer, nothing overloaded.
Taste: Ultra oily mouthfeel, 57.7% is virtually non-existent or noticeable. Raisins, cherries, figs, later ripe blueberries, blackberries. Then plump black sweet cherries, liqueur-like. Increased salivation creates Maggi and a hint of a meaty note in the direction of air-dried hard salami towards the end. At the end, a little young wood remains. When repeated felt to have a heavy cool Primitivo wine in the glass. Just fun.
Finish: Brilliant mix of dryness and a very nice, lingering dark fruit aftertaste. With a nice minimal wooden barrel dry counterpoint.
