Clés des Ducs is the number one Armagnac in France, and in the world.
The French region of Armagnac has given its name to this distinctive brandy made from the same grapes as cognac and undergoing the same ageing in oak barrels, but with column still distillation. Armagnac has been making brandy for about 200 years longer than Cognac and is one of only three officially demarcated brandy regions in Europe.
Armagnac is double distilled, rather than triple distilled, which gives it more flavour than cognac.
The history of Clés des Ducs is a true reflection of the Armagnac´s region history of nobility and elegance, where the spirit of d'Artagnan and the King´s Musketeers reside and enrich the land with adventure.
Clés des Ducs is produced strictly following its traditional method that goes back to the 15th century and has the honour of being known as the first "eaux-de-vie".
XO has been aged for at least six years in wood.
